I'd run the 300 H&H and call it a day. If you don't load it to the gills it's just a long 30/06. Load up some Barnes TSX or TTSX if you worried about bombs.
Yep, pretty much exactly how I'd do it. Unless,of course, you'd like to have some REAL fun and turn the 7stw into a 30/40 or 303 Brit. Both may require a bit of work to get them to feed well. The good news is that the bolt face won't need to be modified.
