Bought this last week and was looking for advice on removing the hydro dip from the stock and repainting. I was hoping to paint it brown and put a red pad on it but haven't had any luck finding one (red pad)for the Vanguard. Talleys and a Timmey should be here tomorrow. Also would a rechamber to 308 Norma be difficult?

It is the electroless nickel plated version not stainless and weighs 7.4 as pictured.
