Seems to me that if the Statue of Lee was that important plenty of supporters would have showed up to overwhelm the counter protesters.

Why not ask the Question would Lee even want a statue of himself in such an obviously overarchingly Liberal place that no longer espouses or supports the principles for which he lived his life and gave his service to the Confederacy.

Why hasnt a bunch of Southerners gotten together and offered to take the State to a better place of reverence?
