I heard where Arthur Savage's favorite cocktail was to sluice overproof rum through a dirty M1899 barrel, catch it in a glass, add a pinch of Hoppe's #1 (hey it was a long time ago), and serve over ice- shaken, not stirred. Known around the loading dock and restrooms at the Savage factory as the "HiPower". Try it, you might like it.
