It is a non issue in hunting rifles.
I published an article maybe 30 years ago where I tested this using a couple of cartridges ( .222 or maybe it was a .223 and a 9.3x62 where using pliers, I cut off tips, crushed ogives and bent tips over and there was no difference with the 9.3 and a little difference with the .224 during 100yd grouping.
