Randy, Bur oak acorns are about the size of a golf ball.
Other than the size, they look like a saw tooth acorn with the spiny cap.
As a side not, I'm absolutely sick of post oaks after the hurricane. They just don't live very long, nor do they have a solid root base. I have hundreds of them down at the ranch here.
