Read an article years ago about a pair of old Levis found in a mine, and they had a pic, but they weren't nearly in this good shape though. They looked like they had spent 100 years in a mine.


Because this isn't the pair found in the mine. That pair dates from 1890, and is not in nearly as good condition. This pair is from 1879, but it doesn't tell how, or where, they established provenance. They are all in a vault owned by Levi's, and are NOT in a museum. There are only 2 people in the world authorized to handle the ones from 1879, and they have to wear cotton gloves when doing so. Here's a link to the original article on Mashables.com:
