I'd like to see that statement backed up with...something.

I do not see any of the short mag varieties on the store shelves in my area...nor do I see ammo for them. I did the 7 SAUM in a Rem 700 with the 24" barrel. I liked it. I would have liked it better if It had a 3.00" cartridge overall length capacity.

Uh, maybe you could look up factory chamberings from Remington. They have been produced in WSM chamberings since shortly after the beginning release of the WSMs.

Or, maybe you just want to buy a brand-new 700 in one of the WSM chamberings, see: Rem700 SPS in WSM

Or, used Rem700 in WSMs: GB Rem 700 300 WSM search, and another for 270WSM Rem 270WSM

Or a brand-new Model Seven in 300WSM, see: Model Seven Stainless 300WSM

As for historical Sevens in WSM chamberings, they were made in the XCR, Whitetail, and CDL versions that I know of in both 270 and 300 WSM.
