my first thought when reading this was how in the world did they get into this kind of shape 1 year removed from the Obama years? Money must have been falling out of the sky for them since 2008.
That said, I have several guns, none of them are a Remington (although I do have 2 Marlins pre-Remington)
Remington's problem is they don't make what selling well right now.
The current craze is small, plastic striker fired carry guns like the Smith Shield, Springfield XDS, and Walther PPS series of pistols.
Remington bought at least 2 AR producers at the end of the AR craze, so they missed with their timing. Although they are developing a new line of plastic wonder guns, chances are they won't be ready for market until the market trends have changed.
