I'm wanting to build a bolt action rifle to use in the "straight walled cases" for midwestern deer hunting. 45 Raptor has my interest as it appears to have a bit of velocity edge to the 450 Bushmaster. Can anyone recommend a good smith who is experienced in putting together a barreled action in the Raptor. Seems Savage and Rem 700's are the action of choice from what info. I've found up 'til now.
