For reference I had a GAP NT in 260. With 24” Bartlein #3 barrel and Hunters Edge stock, APA DBM with AI 5 round mag, talley LW 30mm lows and a VX6 2-12 it weighed 8 lb 12 oz.

If I were to have them build me another rifle, I’d go with the Templar (Defiance Deviant) ultralight hunter action. Integral recoil lug and picatinny bases on the action, eliminates the need for pinned recoil lug or longer picatinny rail. It also has teardrop knob which IMO is better for a hunting rig.

Go with aluminum alloy M4 bottom metal not steel.

If you like/prefer a cheek piece, consider a 100% carbón Manners SL. That’s the stock they use on the Extreme Hunter and it’s a great hunting stock, especially if you shoot prone and with a bipod or off a pack.

Hope that helps, best of luck with your build!
