Alot of Leupold's business is return customers that have owned other Leupold's for years. With the design change they just alienated a huge portion of their customer base which want a classic looking hunting scope in order to pander to the tactical crowd who won't but them because of their recently acquired reputation for poor tracking and reliability. Betting this will help the value of used scopes.
Whoever is making these decisions at Leupold is going to finish the jobif ruining the brand, that the guy in quality control started.
