You probably have eaten it in sashimi. In small doses it is good and not inclined to "liberate" you like that. It is available in most sushi joints here in Anchorage. The folks at Sagaya's should have warned you.

As Sashimi it is a very soft fish with almost no texture but sweet and buttery.


The guy at the fish counter told me "it's kinda like sea bass". When we called them the next day, we were given the old "the manager is busy, he'll call you right back". No call back. I used to hold that business in fairly high regard, but anymore, I've become underwhelmed.
