I picked up a 336 in .35 Rem a little while ago that has a Williams peep. I've used peeps in years past and always liked them, but my eyes have changed and I just can't seem to get comfortable with it. I'm now thinking about going with a scout scope set-up, which I've never tried. What are your opinions on the scout set-up as opposed to a standard scope mount? The rifle will be used in thick woods for deer and non-baited black bear (close range and usually moving).
