My 25-06’s performed best on deer with 100 gr Speer or Sierra’s at a little less than max. 250 Savage dug the Speer 87 gr more due to the slow twist. This year I was shooting my 6.5 Creedmoor and was real happy with the performance of the plain Jane 129 gr interlocks. C&C bullets under 3K and closer to 2600 can get a lot of work done. Even seen an elk or two drop to some plain old 175 7mm’s like it was no big deal.
