RL 16 is in the 4350 burn rate arena....

case isn't big enough in a 223, for it to burn and reach optimum pressure for decent velocity...

probably you will end up with a batch of it unburnt down your barrel....after each shot...

another way to tell if a powder isn't completely burning when you shoot...

hand a sheet or white cloth about 12 inches in front of your barrel, and shoot it thru the cloth
and then see how much powder didn't burn...

saw someone do that once, and rest was kinda interesting...
