I’ve smacked several black bears in the face with the broadhead end of an arrow, they’re just overly curious. A buddy of mine had a bear bait set up in a place with no stand or anything just hunting off the ground. He had a boar and sow grizz roll into the bait and put him in one heck of a bad situation. He was bow hunting and the 44 Mag he was wearing didn’t bring him a lot of assurance. Would have taken a lot from me to keep my cool in his shoes up close and personal.
