Outstanding post, were you able to eat your bull? One of my friends did the same a few years ago and it soured before we got it cooled down.
Surprisingly enough, he was bloated and did not smell super great when we "popped" him (likely because the path of.the bullet included some guts on it's way out.)
But once we did the gutless method, the meat was fine.
