The adage. lies. damned lies and statistics applies.
Firstly it seems that the statistics now include everything that includes the word "gun" in their description. So glue gun, nail gun etc is now lumped into the stolen firearm numbers to make it look out of control so the gun control fanatics can call for more restrictions.
Pro gun groups are pushing back.
Secondly, it would appear that gun registration records have been leaked to criminal bodies as licenced owners have been targeted for specific thefts.
