Now, I know that a Marlin 336CS 30-30 isn't that scarce of a rifle, but when your LGS has a nice 1989 JM Stamped beauty hanging on the wall for $250 bucks, well, that makes it a helluva deal. So, over lunch I added to my Marlin collection and put a new 30-30 in the trunk. What a good day! Now, if work could get over so I can sit on the couch and look it over. The wood has a few handling marks, but the fit and finish is great, no cracks, nor any marks on the bluing, so I am quite happy with it.
