I shot a box of factory 7mm-08 150 ELD-X out of my Browning X-Bolt yesterday. I chrono’ed 10 shots at 2801 fps. Three shot groups were at @ .65” and a 5-shot group that was right at 1”. I was looking at loading this bullet, but I’m betting I won’t do a whole lot better in velocity or accuracy. I’ve been very impressed with Hornady’s factory ELD-X ammo, to include 6.5 CM. I may give the 162 gr a try just for fun, as Hornady doesn’t load that bullet.
