I just sold a 1982 Texan for 425. It was about as mint as a 30year old gun could be that hadn't been hid in a safe all its life. They are short and handy, only reason I sold it is I already had 4 30-30's. 400 isn't bad at all. A new Remington made 336AW is 400 easy and that Texan is twice the gun a new one is IMO
