Family has a vacation house near our family farm on the Chattooga River (SC/GA line). I have taken a fair amount of pics of my favorite spots over the years but a while back I experimented with a longer exposure at "almost dark". Standard procedure....tripod, a relatively tight f-stop for focus, experiment with the length of exposure to grab as much light as I could without screwing up things. Think they turned out ok. Liked the way ambient light and shadows played on the leaves in the second pic, making it appear like it was daytime. If I remember correctly, that second pic was a long long exposure.
