Conetrols are lowest iirc. Had three sets going on sakos, now down to one, having found the sako optilock low rings more flexible to set up, swap, and nonmarring to boot. They are a little taller, but so it goes. The screws are soft; buy aftermarket quality screws thru ebay. My two cents
The new ones have torx screws that are a lot better than the old allen head screws. The design actually slightly tightens under recoil though and I have nearly stripped base screws before and did strip one completely once. I finally learned to take a block of wood and tap the base toward the but of the rifle. Just a couple tiny taps seem to make the bases screws loosen much easier.
