As kids, we used to round up scrap lumber and pallets and set up apposing forts about 25 yds apart in the back yard. Then we would duck for cover and pitch recently fallen black walnuts at each other.

Mom was not happy when she saw my previously white T shirt after taking a half dozen hits from fresh juicy walnuts.
