I am eyeing one in 300 Win Mag for $350. At the price of a Ruger American is it worth a gamble as a user or maybe future build? As if I need another. lol.

Jeffbird,

Not MD but I can say the one Zastava M70 I had in 270 is a fine rifle. It now belongs to my daughter and wears a BellCarlson carbolite black stock with a Leopold fixed 6. It came with the nice 4 screw trigger that the Mark Xs come with and those triggers when adjusted properly are a fine trigger. The rifle also shot around 1" at 200 yds 3 shot groups. In my opinion the Zastava M70 beats the Ruger American hands down

Good bullets properly placed always work, but not everyone knows what good bullets are, or can reliably place them in the field
