I had the first Remington 700xcr in 270wsm. Has a tough finish and never showed signs of rust or pitting. Used it to hunt the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. The Remington 700xcrII I believe is a the same coating but in a matt blued finish. Rifle was very accurate. I sold it because I lost interest in the 270wsm cartridge. I would get it, but I have my 375 Ruger Guide Gun.
