I would like to put a one piece weaver style base on my Weatherby Vanguard SA 223. It says that 700 bases are interchangeable with the Vanguard but I can find nothing on the one piece bases. I find Picatanny (sp?) one piece bases for the Vanguard but they are all so high and I want o keep the scope as low as possible to the action. Will the Rem 700 short action 1 piece base fit a Vanguard SA action?
