Not sure if you guys have heard but my Jake Jefferson's wife passed away on Monday November 19th. Jake is a master guide and lives near Wasilla. He was my guide for a Dall sheep and a grizzly bear hunt. A great guy, he ran his outfitting business by himself. They have six children, four children of their own and then adopted twin native kids, a boy and a girl. Jake had spent some time when he grew up living in a village as his father was a minister at the village. Jake was on Kodiak guiding his last deer hunt for the year when he got a text on his In reach. I can't imagine the turmoil he is going through. There is two Go fund me pages set up on the Alaska outdoor forum site, here is one, if anyone is interested.
