I am a little recoil sensitive and don’t want to run a brake, with that being said I’m worried about the 28. I am not worried about barrel life it will be a hunting rifle shot maybe 20-40 times a year after load development. I want to shoot 140gr Accubonds in the 26 and 160 in the 28. What’s everyone’s experience with these two rounds?

Side note seems the 28 is more popular than the 26 is that correct?

Thanks

I'd suggest finding a couple different chamberings for what you are looking for

I do have an older Remington 700 bdl 30-06 that I want to rebarrel to 35 Whelen. With that in mind the 26 is where I’m leaning for my go to deer rifle.

Lean towards the 6.5 Creed for your deer rifle....you have been led chose to drink if you like
