To each his own properly loaded it works fine on deer within its range. I have a RARR and it is unbelievably accurate little three shot holes it is like shooting a 22 I can load. I would not hesitate to shoot a deer with it the outcome will be a known it will be dead. I do not care about sub only shoot super sonic the hornady 125gr sst do great damage and are still expanding when they exit for a good hole and blood trailing. The 110gr Barns does great but are done before they exit leaving a dead deer but less blood on the ground. Like a 22 I love hunting squirrels with it only downside is I have to wear ear plugs. Widow. PS it will never replace my beloved 7mm08 for big game.
