My wife got two last week. Second one was close to the size of yours. These are caught with a Tru-catch live trap in our barn. I use a .22 long rifle and shoot them in the back of the head from about a foot away. Once in awhile we catch a skunk. No fun then.
Yes....Skunks in a live trap suck. I hold a tarp between us and slowly cover the trap with it. Then I set the trap in the truck and take em down to the river for a swim. I haven't had one spray yet.......yet.
Foot holds are another story. I shoot em and come back a couple days later to take em out of my trap and reset.
That part is never fun.
