Kinda strange no mention of real butter ? when i cooked a seasoned beef steak that i seasoned in my cast iron skillet i get the skillet hot add butter and some bacon grease when these oils are mixed and dang hot,i put my seasoned beef steak in skillet let it cook for about 2-3 minutes flip steak over cook another 2 minutes just so its kinda crispy on outside, but bloody on the inside, then on to my plate ,in another pan i have cooked fresh mushrooms and onions that were cut and cooked in butter with garlic salt added and fresh ground pepper . these cooked mushrooms and onions i put on top of steak and the butter sauce too along with and oil from skillet that steak was cooked. my t-bones,porterhouse,or rib eyes steaks i cook are better than any fancy restaurant ,my dear friend raises some great Angus beef too all corn fed, very tasty and tender.
tuff too beat a old cast iron skillet to cook with ,i actually prefer a steak cooked in my cast iron skillet over a outside grill.
