There was no model H during the 1950's, only EG, R (RS?), and F. Going by the slender fore arm it would be an EG. H's didn't survive re-introduction after WWII.

John, if it were a G there would be a takedown iron in front of the receiver. They weren't made as late as the 50's either.

Darn nice rifle regardless. I think the EG's were the best of the lot in that era.
