My son and I both have R1's in 30-06, Great Guns! Good accuracy, moderate recoil, never a malfunction between the two rifles in 3000+ rounds mix of factory/hand loads.

Good to hear this. Got a 1 inch group using the 208 grain bullets. The 165 weren't that accurate. All reloads. I never buy ammo in 40+ years. Of course we can't compare accuracy to a bolt rifle but, for fast follow up shots, unbeatable.


It is better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6.
