I have a Winchester model 1892 and a Lyman model 21 sight marked "D" on the back. I was told that the correct sight for an 1892 is marked "DB". Research I've done indicates the hole spacing for an 1892 is 3.25". The sight I have is 3.25" and appears to fit the same way pictures of 1892's with Lyman 21's look.
Does anyone know what rifle a "D" sight is meant for?
I have an original 1895 with a vintage Lyman 21 (WR) on it and I really want to have this sight installed on the 1892 but I don't want to "Bubba" it.
