Mine has a pristine bore but the PO for some reason shortened the butt. the stock could be nice but it shoots great which to me is all that matters. Mine came with a nice Lyman long slide 48. With the receiver sight I can shoot Minute of Deer as far as I feel the .30-30 is suited to the task. I don't try to hot rod it, instead, I feed it loss leader factory ammo.
