You may also want to check out the Super Redhawk...pick the one that fits your hand best...

As to scopes, I had mainly 4X Leupolds on mine but found that for hunting in the woods the shots were generally well under 50 yards and ended up switching to 2X Leupolds. I do have a 2-6X Bushnell on a S&W 57 8 3/8" and really like the setup....
