Back in the 80s I got to London for a while and went to Purdeys. I got fitted using their "try" shotgun and was nervously waiting for the bill when the gentleman said it was no charge. Laughingly said they rarely got Yank service members in there and he'd enoyed the opportunity. The cheapest sxs they sold at that time was £60000 but they had some nice ones, too, (his quote). Good memories, thanks for bringing up the subject.
