Believe I have at least one of all the brands mentioned so far, except perhaps Parker-Hale. They all work well.

Most are coated, but some are not. Have never seen any effect of that through my bore-scope on the throats of my rifles, though some people claim it happens. However, I do use rod guides on most rifles.

The one model I can really recommend for those who prefer take-down rods (which can be pretty handy) is the Montana X-Tremes. Unlike the cheap take-downs often sold in sporting good stores, they're very stiff and sturdy.
