I recently put together a new hunting rifle package. I chose to use the padded MS1 sling from Magpul. I’m starting to wonder if it wasn’t the best choice. It’s definitely a sling for ARs, and although I got it to fit on my Savage 110, there’s a lot of extra strappage.

Before I go and cut it off, I am trying to decide if I should just go with it or find a different option.
Pros:
Color, quality, padded,
Cons:
Not really designed with a hunting rifle in mind, kinda slippery, features not fully utilized.

Any suggestions?
