I am getting out of the 44-40 business.
For sale is this 1915 made Winchester 1892 standard rifle in 44-40.
Receiver is patina, barrel & mag tube show very good blue.
Wood is losing its original varnish & shows some staining & dents, but no cracks or major flaws.
The bore shines but has a few small pitted areas that are smooth. The rifling is not the most pronounced I have ever seen, but it is a shooter cast or jacketed.
The rear sight has a crack but it does not affect function.
