My dad got a couple of Steyr Z-2s, in 17 and 22 Magnum. The 22 is still unfired, the 17 is not too bad, a little under an inch at 100. Not real crazy about the trigger, pretty stiff.
Ripped it apart. Danged "adjustment" screws epoxied shut. After torching, managed to get one to turn, for sear engagement, but the DESIGN doesn't allow any "adjustment" unless you shim up the PLASTIC safety-cam bracket. Change the sear, you lose the safety without shims, or grinding. Did shims. There's a second-stage screw, THAT is not just epoxied shut, but it's a SLOTTED screw you can't get a screwdriver into unless you drill a hole through the trigger bow. AND, get some drill rod and make a CUSTOM flat blade. Jeeze!
To get the rifle apart, you need two sizes of Torx just on the bottom metal, metric sockets, an ENGLISH socket, a metric Allen, and there's no flat blade on Earth that will turn the last special screw.
So, I've got a message in to Steyr, hoping they'll sell me a new trigger bow (with bare screws, not epoxied, new sear, and new safety cam pin. I managed to get a much better trigger without having to change the second stage, but feel it's worth getting some parts to really mangle, turn this thing into a shooter's rifle.

I hate lawyers, and the idiots who hire them looking for early retirement.
