In Virginia growing up, when there was a large thunderstorm early evening after it got dark....

when the rain stopped, there were millions of toads out all over the place... and I do mean millions..

we always use to grab a flashlight with fresh batteries and either a baseball bat or a golf club, and go out and practice our
hitting or golf swing....

I had a paper route delivering 350 to 400 papers from the Washington Post in the morning...

in summers after heavy rains early in the morning say 4 or 5 AM...

cars driving up the main parkway, heading to work early.. there were so many toads out, it sounded like they were driving over eggs shells.....

We also use to go to a few swamp ponds, that were usually full of bullfrogs the size of your hand...

with our 22s we'd sink em....but the best fun was the kid who would bring a single shot Savage 410....
