A 9.3 would do for all of the hogs, scrubbers and buff, plus any other critters you might bump into in the NT such as donkeys and such. So would a .458, but you'd be able to bring fewer rounds (maximum 5 kg gross). Of course you could ask your outfitter to lay in a supply of ammunition for you.
