Was on my way home yesterday from New Mexico gathering. Stopped in at the Allsups in Hermleigh Tx. ( btwn Snyder and Roscoe Tx). Big blonde chick walks up to me while I pump gas with sad story. She’s driving to Greeley Co. from Tyler Tx because mom is sick there. She is down to $21 cash. She needs help!!!
Two years ago while I was on way home from Colorado ranch, same chick, same story, hits me up for cash at the T&A truckstop just down the road in Sweetwater. It was all I could do to keep from busting out in gafaws!!! I held my composure and simpy told her NO!
Come on now. I don't believe I wouldn't have said something like: "Well that's odd. Two years ago when you asked me for that money, I figured someone would have helped you out by now."
