Al, what was fps in the 40.5 vs the 39 ?

39 grain gives 3075

40.5 load was 3180.

1st day out, the 40.5 gave a .465" 200 yard group, with an ES of 9. Even though this is my go to load for my other 6x47's, it's a tad on the warm side with the 108's vs 105 Bergers in the others. The 3 extra grains plus the longer bearing surface of the Hornadys puts it over the edge.

The 39 grain load gives me easy bolt lift, and I can get with neck sizing only. 1st day testing it shot a .765" at 200, the next day a .900", then the 3 groups posted, so it's not a bad place to be......
