Another fella and I were jaw jacking about this rifle. I mentioned I’d make sure the wood is sealed internally and probably hunt the crap out of it.

He said he’d be worried about hurting the value of it for future collection. I think I’d let the next guy worry about the value and I’d just enjoy hunting with such an iconic rifle.

Besides, it’s a P64 270, I’d almost bet a dollar it’ll shoot well as it sits.


Yeah, and you shoot the chidt out of it and end up with a cracked stock like your Alaskan. Which is worse? Id glass bed it and freefloat the barrel and never have to worry about it again. It would be so much more consistent too.
