It depends on how you use it. During hunting season, I have a stock rack in mine to haul llamas. You really don't want a bed rug with them. When I bought the pickup, it had a slide in liner to hide a bunch of dings. One trip and I got rid of that. It was so slick that the llamas couldn't stand up. I put in a rubber mat and it's been there for 6 years now. They have good footing, just hose it out, and it's indestructible. I also got a tail gate cover of the same stuff.
