This spring in a tiny town near here, a 12 year old boy was on an ATV going out to check cattle. He dumped it and was killed. He was in the process of raising a 4-H steer for the fat stock sale at the county fair. His older brother volunteered to finish raising and training the steer to show in his brother's name.

The stock sale was held a few days ago. The steer couldn't be entered in the regular sale because of sale rules so they held a special auction afterwards. The buyer donated it back to be sold again. So did the 2d buyer. Before it was over, it had been sold 11 times plus many people made donations to the family. In all, the steer raised $63k to help the boy's family.
